RR’s new captain Sanju Samson will be aiming to lead the team from the front as he is capable of playing match-winning knocks, taking bowlers to the cleaners. Samson is also known for starting the season well, so PBKS will be wary of the threat that he presents. On the other hand, Mohammed Shami also had the best season in his career as many as 20 wickets, still, Punjab failed to reach the playoffs. Apart from the wickets, the fiery pacer managed to bowl at a miserly strike- rate of 16.1.

#1 Chris Morris vs KL Rahul

Chris Morris became the most expensive player in IPL history when the Royals picked him up for ₹16.25 crores. Morris did well for RCB last season, especially bowling in the death overs, and he will be doing a similar job for RR this year as well. He is also handy with the bat lower down the order.

KL Rahul was one of the standout performers for the Punjab-based franchise in IPL 2020. He scored 670 runs at an average of 55.83 and won the Orange Cap. Irrespective of his side’s performance, one thing that’s certain is that when he scores runs, he can win games by himself for the team.
