In the 51st match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will be locking horns with each other in the evening game on 5th October at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. MI hasn’t been enjoying a brilliant run in the season with just 5 wins in 12 matches, they are standing at 7th place on the points table. On the other hand, RR is in a similar position as they have also won 5 games out of the 12 they have played so far, they are placed sixth on the table.
In their last game against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Abu Dhabi, RR registered a brilliant 7-wicket win. CSK batted first and managed 189 runs on the board, which RR managed to chase down in the 18th over itself. On the other hand, MI had witnessed a 4-wicket loss against Delhi Capitals (DC) in Sharjah. MI amassed just 129runs in the first innings. DC chased this down in the final over of the game.

The two teams have locked horns with each other 26 times in IPL history, where MI has won 13 matches while Rajasthan Royals managed to win 12 games. The last time they played against each other this season, MI registered a comfortable 7-wicket win over RR. A big-margin win for both the teams has the potential to push the winner to the Top 4.
Rajasthan Royals (RR)
RR will be looking to retain the winning combination from their last match against Chennai Super Kings. If at all they look to change, they might look to alter in the bowling department with a Shreyas Gopal and Kartik Tyagi coming in for Mayank Markande and Akash Singh. The batting, which entirely depended on the skipper Sanju Samson, finally clicked as openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Evin Lewis got some runs under their belt in the last couple of games, while Shivam Dube played a match-winning knock against CSK.
Probable XI: Sanju Samson (captain/wicketkeeper), Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, David Miller, Shivam Dube, Rahul Tewatia, Glenn Phillips, Kartik Tyagi/Akash Singh, Mayank Markande, Mustafizur Rahman, Chetan Sakariya
Mumbai Indians (MI)
Reigning champions Mumbai Indians have been hit with some poor form of their ever-dependable star players. They have tried and tested most of the players warming the bench. Despite the result in their last match, MI will be expected to go with the same playing 11 and may only opt for Rahul Chahar to the 11. Also, Saurabh Tiwary could be an injury worry ahead of the match.
Probable XI: Rohit Sharma (captain), Quinton de Kock (wicketkeeper), Suryakumar Yadav, Saurabh Tiwary, Hardik Pandya, Kieron Pollard, Krunal Pandya, Jayant Yadav/Rahul Chahar, Nathan Coulter Nile, Jasprit Bumrah, Trent Boult
Fantasy XI Suggestion 1:
Sanju Samson (VC), Quinton de Kock, Rohit Sharma (C), Saurabh Tiwary, Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rahul Tewatia, Shivam Dube, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah, Chetan Sakariya
Fantasy XI Suggestion 2:
Quinton de Kock (C), Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Kieron Pollard, Shivam Dube, Trent Boult, Jasprit Bumrah (VC), Mustafizur Rahman, Nathan Coulter Nile
