In a one-sided match, where Delhi Capitals beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 8 wickets and expelled SRH team from the race of playoffs in IPL 2021, after which Sunrisers Hyderabad head coach praised Delhi Capitals’ team for having quality fast bowlers in their unit. Technically they have qualified for the playoffs with 7 wins and become the first team to enter the playoffs of IPL 2021.
On the other side head coach of Sunrisers Hyderabad says while doing press conference after the match, “Williamson is one of the world’s best batters. Even the best batters in the world are not perfect. Sometimes they can have an off day. Look, you have to give DC bowlers credit. They bowled well. They have some world-class bowlers and, upfront, they are very fast bowlers. They had a good day and we did not. That’s the game of cricket. “

Talking about Sunrisers Hyderabad fast bowler Natarajan the coach reckons, “DC played way too well for us tonight. Natarajan was going to play, but these guys are professional players, and every time there is an injury before the match, you have to make a replacement. All of the players were used to that, but yeah, I hope Natarajan gets over Covid-19 pretty quickly.”
What was the story of the match?
Batting first Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 134 runs in their allotted 20 overs in which Kagiso Rabada (3) and Anrich Nortje (2) took 5 wickets together. Chasing this target, Delhi Capitals achieved it with 8 wickets remaining. Sunrise Hyderabad has 1 win from here, out of 8 matches, even if it wins in the remaining 7 matches, the net run rate will come after that.

“Sometimes, low-scoring matches can be very exciting. It depends on whether both teams are scoring low scores. Our guys in the field stuck at it the best we could. The wickets did not come, so it put us under pressure. But the effort our guys put in was nothing to complain about. On another day, when we score more runs, the pressure we put in the field will help us take wickets,” head coach further added.
Sunrisers will play against Punjab Kings on Saturday and look to spoil other parties to not let them reach the playoffs.
