Batting first, SRH scored 141/7 in 20 overs. They started the innings in a good fashion but failed to finish it on a high as only 36 runs came in the last six overs.

In response, Virat Kohli started the chase with a boundary on the first ball of the innings but got out on the last ball of the over. Daniel Christian walked out to bat at 3 but his innings lasted only four balls. Srikar Bharat also failed to impress and got out after scoring just 12 runs as RCB were in a spot of bother at 38/3 in 7 overs.

Glenn Maxwell walked out in the middle and started playing his aggressive shots. He scored sixes off Rashid Khan and didn’t let him settle. Devdutt Padikkal, on the other end, was playing a slow knock which built the required run rate pressure.

On the first ball of the 15th over, Padikkal played Rashid towards the cover and ran for a non-existing single. Kane Williamson collected the ball and hit the bull’s eye to catch Maxwell short of his crease. This wicket gave a boost to SRH’s chance to win the game.
