KL Rahul and Mandeep Singh took PKBS to a steady start and added 36 runs for the opening wicket before Mandeep got out to Krunal Pandya, who opened the bowling for MI. He was bowling superbly and was bowling the 6th over of the innings when an interesting incident occurred.

On the last ball of the powerplay, Krunal delivered a yorker to which Chris Gayle tried to jam out. The ball moved towards Rahul at the non-striker’s end and ricocheted to Krunal, who tried to run out Rahul with a direct hit. Rahul, who was hit by the ball, was found unaware and a few inches short of his crease.

However, Krunal Pandya showed an incredible example of sportsmanship and withdrew his appeal of run-out as Rahul was hit by the ball, which didn’t allow him to get back inside the crease. The umpire instantly changed his decision of sending the appeal upstairs.
