Deepak Chahar has even missed the recent limited-overs series against Sri Lanka due to an injury. It is now said that he will miss the major part of IPL 2022 due to the same. It will be a massive blow for the CSK, who bought him for INR 14 Crores at the auction. CSK also does not have reliable domestic replacements for Chahar in the squad. Considering Chahar had also improved as a batter, CSK’s batting depth will also be compromised. The entire dynamics of the CSK XI will now change due to Deepak’s injury.

#2 Ruturaj Gaikwad – Wrist injury

Ruturaj was all set to play a few games for India but then he suffered a wrist injury, and he failed to prove his worth in international cricket. He was later ruled out of the Sri Lanka T20I series. However, as per reports, he could become fit by the time IPL 2022 starts. Ruturaj was the Orange Cap winner in IPL 2021 and will lead the top-order for the franchise.

#3 Maheesh Theekshana – Hamstring injury

Young Sri Lankan spinner Maheesh Theekshana is also nursing an injury at the moment. He is not playing against India due to the same. His mystery bowling will be useful for CSK. However, right now, the player is injured. That said, there is ample time to recover for the cricketer.
