Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be locking horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in an exciting contest at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai in the 28th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Under the captaincy of Mayank Agarwal, registered a close win over Mumbai Indians (MI) in their previous encounter and are currently placed third in the points table.

PBKS opener found form in the previous fixture which will be a great boost for the team but they will also be expecting Jonny Bairstow to be at his destructive best. On the other hand, the Sunrisers Hyderabad have won their last three encounters, and are coming off a big victory against the Kolkata Knight Riders in their previous game.

Under the captaincy of Kane Williamson, Suh has been spot on with their bowling changes so far and T Natarajan is proving to be a great death bowler time and again. Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram seem to be in excellent form, and they haven’t felt the absence of injured Washington Sundar yet.

There is a similarity between SRH playing with slow run-rate in powerplays this year with captain Williamson’s dud starts (63 runs and 3 dismissals) – a weakness Punjab will be looking forward to exploiting with the new ball. Having already delivered three crucial 18th overs this season against well-set batters for a combined 13 runs (3 vs RCB, 5 each vs GT & MI), Arshdeep Singh will be expected to play a crucial role in the slog overs.

Probable XI: Mayank Agarwal (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma, Shahrukh Khan, Odeon Smith, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Arshdeep Singh, Vaibhav Arora

T Natarajan had just three PowerPlay wickets under his belt in 22 overs in IPL before this season, but he’s picked up four already in this phase this year. Against Punjab’s gung-ho batting approach – a team that currently has the highest run rate (10.17) and boundary percentage (25.6%) in powerplays, his spell can decide the fortune for SRH.

Probable XI: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (C), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, J Suchith, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik, T Natarajan

Fantasy XI suggestion 1:

Nicholas Pooran, Shikhar Dhawan, Rahul Tripathi, Kane Williamson, Aiden Markram, Liam Livingstone, Odean Smith, Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Chahar, T Natarajan, Kagiso Rabada
