Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with the Punjab Kings (PBKS) in the 32nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. The Rishabh Pant-led side had suffered a loss in their previous match against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and is currently standing at the 8th place on the points table with just a couple of wins in five games.

Anrich Nortje might be back in the XI if he is fit as the other bowlers have been conceding a lot of runs than expected in the previous fixture. On the other hand, Punjab Kings haven’t had the best of times as well and they suffered a big loss at the hands of the Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous game.

PBKS is currently at the seventh position in the points table with three victories in six matches they have played so far and Mayank Agarwal is expected to be back in the XI for the upcoming game after missing out in the last fixture.  Jonny Bairstow is yet to set the stage on fire this season and Punjab will expect him to come good soon.

Mitchell Marsh is ruled out as he tested positive for Covid-19 and he will either be replaced by Anrich Nortje or Tim Siefert to boost the batting. There are certain chances of Kuldeep being introduced in the powerplay to negate the Dhawan threat. Mustafizur may be kept for after Shikhar Dhawan departs, if Nortje plays, given the opener’s propensity to score against the Bangladesh pacer.

Probable XI: Prithvi Shaw, David Warner, TimSiefert/Anrich Nortje, Rishabh Pant (c & wk), Rovman Powell, Lalit Yadav, Axar Patel, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Mustafizur Rahman, Khaleel Ahmed

PBKS will unleash Kagiso Rabada against an in-form David Warner early, who has dismissed the left-hander 5 times. Warner only averages 19.20 against the Proteas pacer, but has a record 11-plus fifty-run scores against Punjab. He has scored 945 runs in 21 innings at 49.74, so Punjab will really hope to see his back early in the contest.

Probable XI: Shikhar Dhawan (c), Prabhsimran Singh, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Odean Smith, Kagiso Rabada, Rahul Chahar, Vaibhav Arora, Arshdeep Singh
