The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are all set to lock horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their next encounter at the Brabourne Stadium in Match 36 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. Both teams are coming off a win in their previous games and RCB especially has been brilliant in recovering from tough situations.
However, RCB would like a lot more contribution from their top-order especially Virat Kohli who has struggled in this season so far. On the other hand, SRH produced an excellent chase in their previous game and their bowling attack looks the most destructive at the moment with all the fast bowlers taking wickets at regular intervals.

The return of Washington Sundar will add to the depth of the bowling attack and the inexperienced middle-order hasn’t been tested yet due to some good bowling performances. However, they will be tested against the RCB bowling line-up. They have locked horns with each other in 20 IPL matches so far and Bangalore has won 8 games and Hyderabad has found victory in 12 matches. Even in their last 5 encounters, SRH is having a 3-2 lead over RCB.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
Mohammed Siraj has dismissed Rahul Tripathi and Kane Williamson quite a few times in the IPL. His ability to use the 3/4 ball could well be a key with the new ball. Josh Hazlewood has taken three scalps each in the Powerplay and end overs so far, and his presence has helped RCB to tighten the screws in the slog overs.
Probable XI: Anuj Rawat, Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik, Harshal Patel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH)
SRH has been using Umran Malik as the enforcer in the middle overs. So Umran or Marco Jansen could be used against Maxwell. However, it also gives a small window of opportunity for a finger spinner who bowls quicker through the air to take a wicket. Another interesting matchup would be Virat Kohli versus SRH’s pacemen upfront, as the former RCB skipper has tried to force the pace in the Powerplay. Even though it hasn’t worked out well for him so far.
Probable XI: Abhishek Sharma, Kane Williamson (c), Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, J Suchith/Washington Sundar, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umran Malik, T Natarajan.
