Gujarat Titans (GT) will be locking horns with the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 40th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Both teams have been enjoying a tremendous run in the ongoing IPL season so far and they are already looking like strong contenders to reach the playoffs.
SRH is standing at the second place in the points table with five victories in seven matches and they are coming off a huge win against the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in their last IPL match. On the other hand, GT won a close encounter against the Kolkata Knight Riders and continued their winning streak in the tournament.

Mohammed Shami has managed to get the wicket of Kane Williamson four times in T20 cricket and will be looking to dismiss the SRH skipper early on in the innings. While Williamson has managed to score some runs, Shami has been key for the Titans with 10 wickets so far. The SRH skipper slammed a 47-ball-56 in their last encounter against GT and will look to notch up another good knock.
#2 Hardik Pandya vs Umran Malik
The GT skipper has already amassed 295 runs in six matches at an average of 73.75. He has also amassed three half-centuries in this edition already at a strike rate of 136.57. Up against him will be SRH pacer, Umran Malik, who has scalped 10 wickets. His raw pace was fine-tuned by SRH bowling coach Dale Steyn and the results are out there. The two players had an intense battle the previous time these two sides clashed.
#3 Shubman Gill vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Bhuvneshwar Kumar seems to have rediscovered his mojo as he has scalped 9 wickets from 7 games. He has also maintained a decent economy rate of 7.41. He has also enjoyed bowling to GT opener Shubman Gill, who has had a topsy turvy journey in IPL 2022. Apart from a couple of fifties, Gill has struggled to get into double digits in the four matches since. Bhuvneshwar has dismissed the batter twice in all of their IPL encounters.
