Gujarat Titans (GT) will be locking horns with the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the 43rd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium. Both teams have had contrasting results in their last few matches and RCB will need to reassess their batting department which has been consistently failing.
The poor form of Virat Kohli hasn’t helped the Faf du Plessis and his men while Glenn Maxwell has shown signs of inconsistency. With five wins in nine games, RCB is standing at fifth position in the points table at the moment. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans pulled off a win in yet another close game and got back to the top of the points table with seven wins in eight games.

The Hardik Pandya-led side has found different match-winners in each of their wins and it has been an excellent campaign for the new franchise so far. The Titans have shown that if their top-order fails, there is assurance that the lower order can bail the team out, though captain Hardik Pandya was hoping that his side’s luck does not run out later in the tournament.
Gujarat Titans (GT)
Mohammed Shami has been pretty lethal in the powerplay this season while Virat Kohli has survived the first six overs only once in six innings so far. Shami has dismissed Kohli four times in the IPL in 46 balls and has conceded just 62 runs. The former RCB skipper averages just 15.50 against the pacer and GT will look to exploit that matchup.
Probable XI: Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya (c), Abhinav Manohar, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Alzarri Joseph, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, Mohammed Shami.
Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB)
The batting positions that average the most this season for RCB is No. 6 and No. 7. as Dinesh Karthik and Shahbaz Ahmed have done their jobs pretty well. However, that also shows the lack of form from the top-order of RCB. The four of Kohli, Anuj Rawat, Suyash Prabhudessai, and Rajat Patidar have a combined aggregate of 340 runs in 23 innings among them at 14.78. GT has picked the most wickets in the powerplay this season and RCB surely cannot afford another poor start.
Probable XI: Faf du Plessis (c), Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell, Suyash Prabhudessai, Rajat Patidar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Dinesh Karthik (wk), Wanindu Hasaranga, Harshal Patel, Josh Hazlewood, Mohammed Siraj
