Delhi Capitals (DC) will be locking horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 45th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumba. Both teams are coming off a win in their previous game and will be riding high on confidence. LSG seems to have benefited hugely from the inclusion of Mohsin Khan in the last couple of matches.

Mohsin has been quite impressed one and all with the ball and they are likely to go in with the same XI for the upcoming game against DC. On the other hand, Delhi Capitals pulled off a crucial win against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) but still, they have some areas to address in their planning.

Kuldeep Yadav bowled just three overs in the previous game despite managing to scalp four wickets which did raise a few eyebrows and Mitchell Marsh desperately needs runs under his belt as well. The side has been bolstered with the inclusion of Chetan Sakariya who was impressive as well in the absence of Khaleel Ahmed.

#1 David Warner vs Avesh Khan

The DC skipper hasn’t been able to do much with his bat for his team as he has scored just 190 runs from 8 games in IPL 2022. But he cannot be counted out considering the breezy starts he gets off to. Avesh Khan has been a crucial cog in the LSG squad as he has managed to scalp 11 wickets from 7 games at an average of 22.45 and an economy rate of 8.32. His pace and bounce is something Pant will relish and because of that, the content between the two will be a cracker. 

#2 KL Rahul vs Mustafizur Rahman

Like Jos Buttler, KL Rahul has been scoring centuries at will. He has been leading the new franchise with the bat notching up 374 runs from 9 matches at an average of 53.43 and a strike rate of 155.06. Mustafizure Rahman has never dismissed Rahul in the IPL and the seamer has been pivotal for DC with 8 wickets from seven matches. The contest will be between class and pace. 

#3 Dushmantha Chameera vs David Warner

Dushmantha Chameera has been one of the finds of the IPL for LSG. The Sri Lankan seamer, with the ability to clock in excess of 140 mph can make life difficult for batters. He will be hoping to dismiss David Warner early on in the innings. The veteran southpaw has been consistent at the top for Delhi, as he has amassed 261 runs from 6 matches at an average of 52.20 and a strike rate of 158.18. Chameera’s swing might put Warner under some pressure.
