The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be looking to add another win under their belt when they will lock horns with Chennai Super Kings (CSK) for the 46th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the MCA Stadium in Pune. There was some optimism among CSK supporters when the team defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Mumbai Indians (MI) in the tournament, but the Men in Yellow failed to win any game since then.
With Ravindra Jadeja handing back the captaincy to MS Dhoni, they will be expecting to get back on the winning ways. On the other hand, SRH made a brilliant comeback after they lost their first couple of matches, as they grabbed five consecutive victories. In their last match against Gujarat Titans, they lost the match on the last ball.

SRH have assembled an underrated yet destructive bowling attack in the form of Umran Malik, Marco Jansen, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Washington Sundar, and T Natarajan. In their reverse fixture against CSK, Abhishek Sharma was outstanding with the bat. The two old rivals have locked horns with each other 18 times in IPL so far and it is CSK that has enjoyed the fair share of success against SRH with 13 wins.

Tactics and matchups: Perhaps a tweak in the bowling order might do wonders for SRH. They tend to introduce Umran Malik quite late but given the fact that Robin Uthappa is the only batter to have been amongst the runs in the CSK top order, prizing him out early could prove to be vital. Umran can also test Moeen with the short stuff, something the allrounder has historically struggled with.
Probable XI: Kane Williamson (C), Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Shashank Singh, Washington Sundar, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, T Natarajan, Marco Jansen, Umran Malik
Chennai Super Kings (CSK)
Tactics and matchups: The lack of genuine pace might play into Abhishek Sharma and Rahul Tripathi’s hands yet again. The two batters already made CSK suffer in their previous encounter and it will be interesting to see what they come up with to deal with the uncapped Indian duo. Ruturaj Gaikwad has found it hard to get going in this tournament. A subdued approach from him against one of the best attacks in the tournament can work in CSK’s favor given Pune hasn’t been a high-scoring venue this year.
Probable XI: Robin Uthappa, Ruturaj Gaikwad, Moeen Ali, Ambati Rayudu, Shivam Dube, Ravindra Jadeja, MS Dhoni (C/WK), Dwaine Pretorius, Dwayne Bravo, Mukesh Choudhary, Maheesh Theekshana
Fantasy XI Suggestion 1:
MS Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Shashank Singh, Abhishek Sharma (c), Ruturaj Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Aiden Markram, Dwayne Bravo, T Natarajan, Maheesh Theekshana, Umran Malik (vc)
Fantasy XI Suggestion 2:
Nicholas Pooran, Robin Uthappa (c), Ambati Rayudu, Rahul Tripathi, Abhishek Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwaine Pretorius, Aiden Markram, Dwayne Bravo (vc), Maheesh Theekshana, Umran Malik
