Rajasthan Royals (RR) will be locking horns with Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 58th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 on Wednesday (May 11) at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. Under the captaincy of Sanju Samson, Rajasthan would be hoping to strengthen their playoffs hopes with yet another win under their belt.
RR has so far won seven matches and has 14 points in their tally. The Royals had also got the better of the Capitals in the reverse fixture of the northern derby by 15 runs. DC has a lot of work to do if they want to stay in the race of qualifying to the playoffs for the fourth straight season. After their heavy 91-run loss to the defending champions Chennai Super Kings, all the Rishabh Pant and his men can do is to ensure that they slip no further from hereon and win all their remaining fixtures.

DC players would now be hoping to click well as a unit after having an off-day in the previous fixture where they were completely outplayed in all departments. RR will consider bringing in R Ashwin to bowl in the powerplay to counter the threat of David Warner with him having dismissed him 5 times, along with Boult who the left-hander has found it tough to score against. Yashasvi Jaiswal will persist at the top given his fifty-plus score in the last game, with Devdutt Padikkal pushed down to the middle order.
