The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega-auction for the upcoming season of 2022 has been taking place in Bengaluru and it will be interesting to see how each of the teams finally shapes up. Here is what the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are up to in the auctions.

#1. Pat Cummins
Australia’s Test captain Pat Cummins is the first Australia player to go under the hammer in the mega-auction of the Indian Premier League 2022. His previous franchise Kolkata Knight Riders have bought him once again. Cummins, who has played the past two seasons with Kolkata, saw a bidding war between KKR and one of the two new teams this edition, the Gujurat Titans. And, KKR sealed the deal at the end with ₹7.25 Crores as well.
#2. Shreyas Iyer
Young batsman Shreyas Iyer has earned a huge deal for IPL 2022 as Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) bought him for a whopping sum of INR 12.25 cr on Day 1 of the IPL 2022 mega auction. While Delhi Capitals have released him prior to the mega-auction, Iyer saw a massive bidding war between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), Delhi Capitals (DC), Gujarat Titans and Lucknow Super Giants. But, KKR defeated all of them and acquired the services of the young and talented batsman.
#3. Nitish Rana
The veteran Nitish Rana has once again gone under the hammer and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Mumbai Indians both were engaging in an intense bidding war. Mumbai Indians looked all determined to buy him at first and then Chennai Super Kings too have joined the race. Even, later on, Lucknow too had joined the race but KKR were determined to get their former player. And, this time, they bought him for a whopping INR 8 crore as well.
#4. Sheldon Jackson
KKR were in search of a wicketkeeper-batsman and they bid for their former player in the mega-auction. Although Lucknow had joined the race in the bidding, KKR managed to sign Sheldon Jackson for INR 60 Lakh as well.
#5. Shivam Mavi
The young pace bowler of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will once again be seen in purple as KKR has bought him again ₹7,25,00,000 as well.
#6. Ajinkya Rahane
KKR bought the former Test vice-captain Ajinkya Rahane for Rs 1 crore.
#7. Rinku Singh
Both KKR and Lucknow were in initial bids for the former KKR player and Kolkata eventually bought him for INR 55 lakh.
#8. Anukul Roy
KKR had the first bid for Anukul Roy and bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#9. Rasikh Dar
KKR started with the first bid and bought for INR 20 lakh as well.
#10. Baba Indrajith
Kolkata Knight Riders started with the first bid and bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#11. Chamika Karunaratne
KKR started with the first bid and they bought him for INR 50 lakh as well.
#12. Abhijeet Tomar
KKR and RR started with the first bids and KKR sealed the deal for INR 40 lakh.
#13. Pratham Singh
KKR bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#14. Ashok Sharma
RR started with the first bid at INR 20 lakh. But, KKR entered the bid and KKR bought him for INR 55 lakh as well.
#15. Sam Billings
KKR started with the first bid and bought him for INR 2 crore.
#16. Alex Hales
Kolkata bought him for INR 1.5 crore.
#17. Tim Southee
KKR bought Southee for INR 1.5 crore.
#18. Ramesh Kumar
KKR bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#19. Mohammad Nabi
KKR bought the veteran all-rounder for INR 1 crore.
#20. Umesh Yadav
KKR bought the pacer for INR 1 crore.
#21. Aman Khan
KKR bought him for INR 20 lakh.
