The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega-auction for the upcoming season of 2022 has been taking place in Bengaluru and it will be interesting to see how each of the teams finally shapes up. Here is what the Mumbai Indians (MI) are up to in the auctions.

During Auction
#1. Ishan Kishan
Ishan Kishan became the second most expensive Indian player ever in the auction as Mumbai Indians bought him a record price of INR 15.25 Crore- The highest for this year’s auction so far. However, Mumbai started the bidding and Punjab Kings soon joined them. Both teams were determined to buy the young and talented wicketkeeper-batsman. But, Punjab Kings have backed down later on and Gujarat Titans have joined the race but Mumbai Indians were determined and Ishan has breached the 10 crore mark in no time. Later, Sunrisers Hyderabad have also joined the race and the youngster breached the 15 crore mark and Mumbai Indians sealed the deal in the end.
#2. Dewald Brevis
Both Punjab Kings and Chennai Super Kings were engaged in the bidding of Baby AB de Villiers and it became an intense bidding battle as well. CSK were determined to buy the youngster but Mumbai Indians enter the race to get him. Mumbai Indians buy Dewald Brevis for INR 3 crore as well.
#3. Basil Thampi
The pace bowler Basil Thampi was bought by Mumbai Indians as they managed to sign him for INR 30 Lakh as well.
#4. Murugan Ashwin
The most successful Indian Premier League franchise have bought Murugan Ashwin for ₹1,60,00,000 on Day 1 of the ongoing mega-auction of the cash-rich league.
#5. Jaydev Unadkat
Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings bid for the speedster whereas Mumbai bought him for INR 1.3 crore.
#6. Mayank Markande
While Lucknow started the bidding for the young spinner Mayank at INR 50 lakh, Mumbai Indians soon joined in the bidding before Rajasthan took it further up. However, Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 65 lakh.
#7. N Tilak Varma
SRH and Rajasthan were on the bidders’ list for him. While RR started with INR 55 lakh, Chennai and Mumbai too joined hands. And, in the end, Mumbai bought him for INR 1.7 crore as well.
#8. Sanjay Yadav
Mumbai Indians started the first bid at INR 20 lakh. Punjab also joined before Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 50 lakh.
#9. Jofra Archer
RR started the first bid and Mumbai Indians later joined as well. Mumbai, however, led with INR 6 crore. Later, SRH too joined in with the INR 7.25 crore. But, Mumbai returned and eventually bought him for INR 8 crore.
#10. Daniel Sams
Lucknow and Mumbai Indians started with their first bids where Mumbai bought him for INR 2.6 crore.
#11. Tymal Mills
SRH started with the first bid at INR 1 crore and took the lead at INR 1.1 crore. Mills was bought by Mumbai Indians for INR 1.5 crore.
#12. Tim David
DC and KKR started with their bids. KKR was in the lead at INR 2.6 crore but eventually, Mumbai Indians came in and bought it for INR 8.25 crore.
#13. Mohammed Arshad Khan
Mumbai Indians started with the first bid at INR 20 lakh and bought as well.
#14. Anmolpreet Singh
Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#15. Ramandeep Singh
Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#16. Rahul Buddhi
Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#17. Hrithik Shokeen
Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 20 lakh.
#18. Arjun Tendulkar
Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 30 lakh.

Mumbai Indians bought him for INR 20 lakh.
