The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega-auction for the upcoming edition of 2022 has started in Bengaluru and it will be engrossing to see how each of the teams finally shapes up. Here is what the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are up to in the auctions.

Day 1
#1 Faf du Plessis – ₹7 Crores
The former South Africa captain, Faf du Plessis was up for grabs in the IPL 2022 mega-auction and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have started the bidding war with Royal Challengers Bangalore. CSK decided to back out mid-way and Delhi Capitals decided to join the race alongside RCB. Faf du Plessis eventually was bought by RCB for ₹7 Crores.
#2 Harshal Patel – ₹10.75 Crores
The Purple-cap holder of last season, Harshal Patel went under the hammer in IPL 2022 mega action and RCB straightway trying to get him back. Chennai Super Kings have joined the race to buy the services of Patel. Sunrisers Hyderabad suddenly decided to enter the bidding war with RCB. Eventually, RCB regained the services of Harshal Patel for ₹10.75 crores.
#3 Wanindu Hasaranga – ₹10.75 Crores
As the auction resumed after lunch, RCB was leading the charge for the Sri Lankan all-rounder with ₹10.75 crores. Punjab Kings had decided to back down from the race. And RCB eventually managed to buy the services of Wanindu Hasaranga for ₹10.75 Crore.
#4 Dinesh Karthik – ₹5.5 Crores
The veteran India wicketkeeper, Dinesh Karthik was up for grab in IPL 2022 mega-auction. Royal Challengers Bangalore started the bidding for DK and CSK has joined them. After a long bidding war, RCB managed to buy the services of Dinesh Karthik for ₹5.5 Crore.
#5 Josh Hazlewood- ₹7.75 crores
The lanky Australian pacer, Josh Hazlewood went under the hammer in IPL 2022 mega-auction and Chennai Super Kings started to bid for him. Lucknow Super Giants also look to sign the Aussie pacer, but Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians started the bidding war, and eventually, RCB bought the services of Josh Hazlewood for ₹7.75 crores.
#6 Shahbaz Ahmed – ₹2.40 crores
The southpaw all-rounder, Shahbaz Ahmed went under the hammer in IPL 2022 mega-auction and RCB straightaway open the bid for their former player. KKR joined RCB in the bidding war, but the Bangalore-based franchise snatched the al-rounder for ₹2.40 Crores.
#7 Anuj Rawat – ₹3.40 crores
Anuj Rawat inited bidding was between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore battle hard for the glovesman. The Gujarat Titans have entered the race to sign Anuj Rawat, but eventually, RCB signed Anuj Rawat for ₹3.4 Crores.
#7 Akash Deep – ₹20 Lakhs
RCB opened the bid for Akash Deep and got him for the based price of ₹20 Lakhs.

Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to buy Mahipal Lomror for ₹95 lakhs.
#9 Fin Allen – ₹80 lakhs
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to buy Fin Allen for ₹80 lakhs.
#10 Sherfane Rutherford – ₹1 crore
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to buy Sherfane Rutherford for his base price of ₹1 crores.
#11 Jason Behrendorff – ₹75 lakhs
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to buy Jason Behrendorff for his base price of ₹75 lakhs.
#12 Suyash Prabhudessai – ₹30 lakhs
Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to buy Suyash Prabhudessai for ₹30 lakhs.
