The veteran anchor Mandira Bedi is a renowned face in the sports media industry and she has been covering sports, especially cricket as an anchor cum presenter for decades now as well. She has been given the responsibility to host the opening ceremony of IPL 16 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, she stole the limelight while doing the same as she was seen sporting two wristwatches (one in each hand).

While there is no news as to why she decided to wear two watches but her graceful presence on the stage surely gave her fans a reason to rejoice as well. However, the opening ceremony was followed by the campaign opener of IPL 2023 between defending champions Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.

The opening ceremony of the IPL 2023 was a stunning one as the event includes singer Arijit Singh, actor Tamannaah Bhatia, and Rashmika Mandhana among others. While Arijit Singh entertained the fans with his soulful music who turned up for the opening fixture at the Narendra Modi Stadium, everyone loved the performances by Tamannah and Rashmika as they also added to the vibe of the evening too as well.

However, as far as the game is concerned, it is taking place between MS Dhoni who has retired from international cricket and Hardik Pandya who has led India quite well in recent times.
