Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will be hosting the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in the 15th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. RCB have won one of their two games this season so far, and are placed in the seventh position on the points table with a net run rate of -1.256.

On the other hand, Lucknow Super Giants have won two of their three games this season so far, and are comfortably standing at second place on the points table with a net run rate of +1.358. The Bangalore-based franchise suffered a huge 81-run loss against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their last game owing to the brilliance of Sunil Narine and Varun Chakravarthy.

Lucknow on the other hand registered a comfortable 4-wicket win over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) thanks to the all-around performance of Krunal Pandya. These two teams have met twice in the IPL so far, where Bangalore managed to win both games. Another cracking contest is anticipated here between these two sides on Monday.

RCB has roped in Wayne Parnell and Vijaykumar Vyshak to replace Reece Topley and Rajat Patidar in their squad. They had a batting disaster in the last match and would be keen to make amends at home. Faf du Plessis and the RCB team management will be keen to make a couple of changes. Akash Deep may go out and Siddharth Kaul or Sonu Yadav can be slotted into the team. Shahbaz Ahmed also needs to step up as Mahipal Lomror and Manoj Bhandage are warming the bench.

They will be expected to make no changes in the winning combination, but they will also be tempted to play Quinton de Kock, and in that case, Marcus Stoinis may have to warm the bench. The likes of Krishnappa Gowtham and Avesh Khan may be on the Impact Players bench as LSG look to win three out of their first four matches.
