Punjab Kings (PBKS) will be locking horns with the Gujarat Titans (GT) in the 18th game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium in Mohali. Both teams have had a similar run so far this season, with a couple of wins in three games. PBKS lost their last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). Defending champions GT also suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Although the Titans were blown away by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batter Rinku Singh in their previous game, they are one of the teams to beat in this competition. While they have coped well with the bat, it is the Titans’ bowling attack that holds all the aces. Punjab Kings could welcome Liam Livingstone back into the side after a disappointing loss at the hands of the SunRisers Hyderabad.

These two teams have played just a couple of matches against each other in the history of IPL so far where both teams have won one game each. With both teams eager to return to winning ways, another thriller beckons in Mohali.
Punjab Kings (PBKS)
Liam Livingstone has joined the PBKS squad and should walk into the XI. The hosts could draft in last season’s leading wicket-taker Kagiso Rabada as well. For the sake of balance, they are unlikely to be able to fit both Rabada and Nathan Ellis, even as the Australian has bowled impressively in the three matches. If Bhanuka Rajapaksa is available, PBKS might have to decide between him and Sikandar Raza for one of the overseas picks.
Probable XI: Prabhsimran Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, Liam Livingstone, Jitesh Sharma, Sikandar Raza/Bhanuka Rajapaksa, Sam Curran, Shahrukh Khan, Harpreet Brar, Rahul Chahar, Nathan Ellis/Kagiso Rabada, Arshdeep Singh
Gujarat Titans (GT)
Hardik Pandya will be expected to come back to the XI after getting well from his illness. Only in one of the three games so far, Rashid Khan has bowled an over in the PowerPlay. Hardik could turn to him early on Thursday to give some threat to Shikhar Dhawan. The PBKS captain, who sits atop the batting charts of IPL 2023, has scored just 53 runs in 56 balls faced from the leggie and has been dismissed four times too.
Probable XI: Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, Hardik Pandya, Vijay Shankar, David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Joshua Little
Fantasy XI Suggestion 1:
Jitesh Sharma, Wriddhiman Saha, Shikhar Dhawan (c), Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Sam Curran, Liam Livingstone, Vijay Shankar, Arshdeep Singh, Rashid Khan (vc), Mohammed Shami
Fantasy XI Suggestion 2:
Prabhsimran Singh, Shikhar Dhawan, David Miller (vc), Shubman Gill, Liam Livingstone, Hardik Pandya, Sam Curran (c), Mohammed Shami, Rashid Khan, Arshdeep Singh, Nathan Ellis
