IPL 2023: Match 65 (SRH vs RCB) – 3 Player Matchups To Watchout For

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be locking horns with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for the first time in the 65th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Raji Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. SRH is currently placed at the bottom of the points table of this season of IPL whereas RCB is currently placed at the fifth spot on the points table.

The Sunrisers played 12 games in this season of the IPL where they managed to win four matches while the Bangalore-based franchise also played 12 games in this season where they won six matches. In their last league match against Gujarat Titans (GT), SRH suffered a 34-run loss. Heinrich Klassen managed to score 64 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad in that game.

On the other hand, Royal Challengers Bangalore pulled off a 112-run win over Rajasthan Royals (RR). Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell smashed 55 runs and 54 runs respectively for RCB against RR. These two teams have played 21 games against each other in the history of IPL so far where Sunrisers Hyderabad won 12 matches while Royal Challengers Bangalore managed to win 9 games.

With a superb five-wicket haul in the last match, Bhuvneshwar will be high on confidence. According to ESPNcricinfo, across 13 IPL innings, Bhuvneshwar has got the better of Kohli on three occasions. Kohli scored 75 runs from 62 balls (SR: 120.96).

#2 Faf du Plessis vs Marco Jansen

Faf du Plessis has been the highest run-getter in IPL 2023 and is enjoying a dream campaign. Once again, he will be eager to build match-winning partnerships alongside Kohli and Glenn Maxwell. SRH’s left-arm fast bowler, Marco Jansen will want to get the better of Faf, having dismissed him in the one duel they faced. Faf faced a couple of deliveries, without scoring a run.

RCB fast bowler, Mohammed Siraj can be lethal in the powerplay, having claimed 30 scalps in this phase. Siraj, who has managed 16 scalps in the IPL 2023 season from 12 games, will relish his battle against Abhishek Sharma. In three games so far, Abhishek has fared well against Siraj, amassing 36 runs from 24 balls without being dismissed. He has struck at 150.00.
