The 66th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be played between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the HPCA stadium in Dharamsala. PBKS is currently placed at the eighth position on the points table of this season of IPL whereas RR is currently placed at the sixth spot on the points table. Punjab Kings played thirteen matches in this season of the IPL where they managed to win six games while the Royals also played 12 games in this season where they too, won six matches.
Punjab Kings played their last match against Delhi Capitals where they suffered a loss by 15 runs. Liam Livingstone hammered 94 runs for Punjab Kings in that game. On the other hand, the Royals played their last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) where they lost that game by 112 runs. Shimron Hetmyer managed to score 35 runs for RR in that game.

These two teams have played have played 25 games against each other in the history of IPL so far where Punjab Kings have pulled out 11 matches while Rajasthan Royals won the remaining games. The last time they played against each other this season, Punjab Kings beat Rajasthan Royals by 5 runs.
Punjab Kings (PBKS)
The Kings, having played the match just a day before, didn’t turn up for practice on Friday. Meanwhile, they might contemplate a couple of changes to the game. Atharva Taide, who struggled despite getting a fifty and was eventually retired out as a tactical move, along with Rabada, could make way for an overseas batting option along with an Indian pacer. Bhanuka Rajapaksa and Rishi Dhawan might be well-suited to fill those roles.

Both Devdutt Padikkal and Riyan Parag have been ineffective in this IPL, barring a fifty for the former against RCB, and it remains to be seen who among the two gets the nod for this game.
