The second last league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. MI is currently placed at the 5th place on the points table of this season of IPL whereas SRH is at the bottom of the points table. The hosts have played 13 matches in IPL 2023 where they managed to win 7 games while SRH also played 13 matches in this season where they have pulled off 4 wins.

Mumbai Indians played their last game against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) where MI suffered a loss by 5 runs. Ishant Kishan managed to score 59 runs for Mumbai Indians in that game. On the other hand, SRH suffered a dominating 8-wicket loss against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). In that game, Henrich Klaasen scored a century.

These two teams have played 20 matches in IPL history, where MI has managed to win 11 matches while SRH has won the remaining matches. The last time they played against each other earlier this season, MI registered a comfortable 14-run win over MI.

Ishan Kishan, Suryakumar Yadav, and Nehal Wadhera will be playing a crucial role for MI. Among bowlers, Jason Behrendorff has will be expected to take wickets as he has done in the last three spells while veteran spinner Piyush Chawla has picked up 15 wickets this season. Akash Madhwal off late proved himself valuable with good death bowling and scalped three wickets in his last match at the Wankhede Stadium.

Mayank Markande has 12 wickets to his name but off late he has struggled to take wickets.
