The last league match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. RCB is currently placed the 4th place on the points table of this season of IPL whereas GT is leading the points table and they have already qualified for the playoffs.
RCB played thirteen games in this season of the IPL where they managed to win seven matches while GT have won 9 games out of the thirteen games they have played so far. The Bangalore-based franchise played their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad where they registered a comfortable win by 8 wickets. Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis hammered 100 runs and 71 runs respectively for Royal Challengers Bangalore in that game.

On the other hand, Gujarat Titans played their last game against Sunrisers Hyderabad where they won that game by 34 runs. Shubman Gill smashed 101 runs for Gujarat Titans in that game. Dinesh Karthik has been battling a back niggle and is hence used as an impact substitute. He was seen practicing ‘keeping drill’ on the eve of the game. Harshal Patel has battled through a fractured finger throughout the season that has barred him from batting. Mike Hesson revealed that his injury was at an advanced stage of recovery. Wanindu Hasaranga, after missing a couple of games with injury, is now available for selection again but might find it difficult to replace Michael Bracewell in the XI.

Joshua Little has returned to India after his international commitments for Ireland and could be welcomed back into the XI.
