IPL 2023: Let’s have a look at all the hits and misses of week 5

Match 34: Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad – Delhi Capitals won by 7 runs.

Hits: Mayank Agarwal and Heinrich Klaasen stepped up with the bat. Washington Sundar’s all-round show.

Misses: Collective failure from both teams – be it batting or bowling department.

Match 35: Gujarat Titans vs Mumbai Indians – Gujarat Titans won by 55 runs.

Hits: Shubman Gill’s formidable form. David Miller and Abhinav Manohar’s stunning show with the bat. Cameron Green and Nehal Wadhera stepped up with the bat.

Misses: Bowlers from both ends failed to step up.

Match 36: Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Kolkata Knight Riders – Kolkata Knight Riders won by 21 runs

Hits: Jason Roy, Nitish Rana and Virat Kohli stepped up with the bat. Wanindu Hasaranga, Varun Chakaravarthy and Andre Russell did well with the ball.

Misses: RCB’s middle-order woes continued. Umesh Yadav and Sunil Narine had a bad day at the office.

Match 37: Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings – Rajasthan Royals won by 32 runs

Hits: Yashasvi Jaiswal, Dhruv Jurel stepped up with the bat. Ruturaj Gaikwad and Shivam Dube maintained their form. Adam Zampa left a mark with 3/22

Misses: Tushar Deshpande and Ambati Rayudu failed to impress.

Match 38: Lucknow Super Giants vs Punjab Kings – Lucknow Super Giants won by 56 runs

Hits: Lucknow Super Giants posted the highest-ever total in IPL 2023 – 257, courtesy of K Mayers (54), Marcus Stoinis (72), and Nicholas Pooran (45). Atharva Taide’s form – 66 off 36. Yash Thakur picked up 4 wickets.

Misses: Punjab Kings’ collective failure in batting and bowling.

Match 39: Kolkata Knight Riders vs Gujarat Titans – Gujarat Titans won by 7 wickets.

Hits: Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Russell did well with the bat. Shubman Gill, David Miller and Vijay Shankar did exceptionally well.

Misses: KKR’s collective batting and bowling failure.

Hits: Devon Conway’s stunning show with the bat. Prabhsimran Singh and Liam Livingstone stepped up with the bat.

Misses: Bowlers failed to step up from both sides.

Match 42: Mumbai Indians vs Rajasthan Royals – Mumbai Indians won by 6 wickets

Hits: Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed a scintillating 124*. Suryakumar Yadav stepped up with the bat.

Misses: Bowlers failed to live up to the expectations.
