Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Monday, April 13, in Match 21 of IPL 2026. SRH have had a mixed start to the season, managing just one win from four matches and sitting seventh on the points table. RR, meanwhile, have been the standout team so far, winning all four of their games to stay firmly at the top.

Hyderabad’s biggest concern has been its bowling attack. Their pace unit has struggled to control the innings, with Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga, and Harshal Patel all leaking runs at high economy rates in IPL 2026. Even so, SRH’s batting has shown promise. Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Ishan Kishan, and Heinrich Klaasen have all looked in decent touch and will once again be key to their chances.

Rajasthan Royals, on the other hand, look like one of the most balanced sides in the tournament. Openers Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal have given them explosive starts, while Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger have provided early breakthroughs with the new ball. Ravi Bishnoi’s spin has added further depth to an already impressive attack.
Here are three key player battles to watch in SRH vs RR, Match 21 of IPL 2026.
#1 Ravi Bishnoi vs Heinrich Klaasen

It is shaping up as one of the most fascinating battles in SRH vs RR, Match 21 of IPL 2026. Bishnoi has been at his best this season, striking nine times in four matches at an excellent average of 12.67 and an economy rate of 8.77. The leg-spinner has been a reliable weapon in the middle overs for Rajasthan Royals, using drift, pace changes, and subtle variations to break partnerships.
Against him stands Heinrich Klaasen, one of the most dangerous spin hitters in the league. The South African has not always looked fluent, but he has still managed 184 runs in four innings, averaging 46 and striking at 140.46. Klaasen’s ability to read the spinner early and clear the infield could make this duel a turning point in the game.
#2 Jofra Archer vs Abhishek Sharma

It is another contest that could define the Powerplay. Archer has brought serious pace and hostility back into Rajasthan Royals’ attack, with his first-ball strike to remove Phil Salt in the previous match showing exactly why he remains such a threat. He has already picked up five wickets in four games and will again look to make early inroads with the new ball on Monday.
Abhishek Sharma, though, is not the type to back away. The left-hander has been in superb touch, scoring 129 runs in four matches at a strike rate of 218.64. His fearless strokeplay means Archer will need to hit the right lengths from ball one.
#3 Jaydev Unadkat vs Vaibhav Suryavanshi

It brings experience against youth, and that makes it just as compelling. Unadkat has taken four wickets in four matches and will need all his craft against RR’s explosive opening pair. The veteran left-arm seamer will rely on changes of pace, angles, and smart field placement to keep Suryavanshi quiet. But the 15-year-old has already shown that he belongs at this level. With 200 runs in four innings at an average of 50 and a jaw-dropping strike rate of 266.67, Suryavanshi currently wears the Orange Cap and continues to look like one of IPL 2026’s biggest breakout stars.
