The Indian Premier League (IPL) mega auction for the upcoming edition of 2018 has started at Bangalore and it will be engrossing to see how each of the teams finally shape up. Here is what Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are up to in the auctions.

Aniket Chaudhary comes back to Bangalore

Aniket Chaudhury goes to Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 30 Lakh. Kulwant Khejroliya is also bought by RCB for 85 Lakh. They also bought Navdeep Saini for INR 3 crores.

RCB buys Manan Vohra

Delhi Daredevils opens the bid for Manan Vohra. Manan sold for INR1.10 crore to Bangalore.

Yuzvendra Chahal comes back

Delhi Daredevils may have thought they got their second spinner in Yuzvendra Chahal, but RCB chose to use the RTM card and Chahal is back with them for INR 6 Crore. Chahal is also the first legspinner to pick up a fifer as well as 6 wicket haul in a T20I and has the record for the best bowling as a legspinner in T20I history (6/25).

Umesh bought by Bangalore

India pacer Umesh Yadav has been bought by Royal Challengers Bangalore for INR 4.2 Cr. Kolkata Knight Riders had the option to use the RTM card but they chose not to. Umesh will now play under the leader of the Indian skipper Virat Kohli.

The first wicket-keeper to be sold at the IPL 2018 is Quinton de Kock and he goes to Royal Challengers Bangalore for 2.8 Crores. DD had the option to use the RTM card for him but they chose not to do so. A decent buy for RCB as de Kock is one of the most explosive wicket-keeper batsmen out there.

Another all-rounder in RCB’s bag

Royal Challengers Bangalore is investing their money in all-rounder and they picked another Englishman, Moeen Ali. RCB buy him for 1.7 crore INR after a base price of 50 lakhs.

Another overseas buy-in form of De Grandhomme

In another overseas buy for Bangalore, they buy Kiwi all-rounder Colin de Grandhomme for 2.2 crore INR. He played for KKR in last year and but had an ordinary season. His base price was 75 lakhs.

Chris Woakes gets a whopping 7.4 crores

England all-rounder Chris Woakes is the second buy of the day for RCB. He has been bought by 7.4 crore INR. In his only season, he played for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 and had a decent season at the helm. He is in good form with his national side England, where he is churning out runs apart from taking wickets.

Baz goes to RCB

Royal Challengers Bangalore is the sleepiest bidder this morning for the Indian Premier League 2018 auction. But they wake up as soon as Brendon McCullum’s name came out from the auction pool.

After giving KL Rahul away for 11 crores, they bought McCullum for 3.6 crore INR. Baz has been one of the IPL veterans and can tear any bowling line-up apart on his day. Also, he can be alike to like replacement of Chris Gayle, who went unsold in the auction.
