New Zealand Women clinched another big victory against the hosts Ireland Women in the third and final Women’s ODI on Wednesday at Dublin. With that victory, New Zealand Women sealed the 3-match ODI series by the 3-0 margin.

New Zealand women decided to bat first after winning the toss. With the help of dual centuries from Amelia Kerr and Leigh Kasperek, New Zealand Women put another 400+ total as they scored 440/3 in 50 overs.

In reply, Ireland Women was bundled out for just 135 runs in 44 overs as New Zealand Women won by 305 runs.

  • Highest individual knock in the Women’s ODI history. The previous record was 229* by Belinda Clark (Australia Women) against Denmark Women at Mumbai on December 16, 1997.

  • Third highest total in the Women’s ODI history.

  • It was the third consecutive 400+ ODI total for New Zealand Women. First time in Women’s ODI history when any team has scored three consecutive 400+ totals.   

 

v) At the age of just 17 years and 243 days, New Zealand cricketer Amelia Kerr had an impressive bowling figure too and that was 7-1-17-5.

  • Fourth youngest bowler to claim five-wicket hauls in the Women’s ODI history.
