Like most of the other sports, all the cricketing action has come to a halt, meanwhile, former England cricketer-turned commentator Isa Guha has recently been going through her photo album as she shared a moment in 2005 when she got the opportunity to bowl to the Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar in the nets.

While sharing the photo on social media, Isa wrote that she didn’t expect Tendulkar to remember the time when she bowled to the legend for over an hour, however, Sachin came up with a great reply to her post, saying, he could recall the time when he faced quality bowling in the nets.

Tweeting the picture on Thursday, Guha “One of the finds from lockdown! He won’t remember but in 2005, recovering from an elbow injury, the Little Master asked for some net bowlers & I was one of the lucky few. We bowled for an hr – Sachin batted left-handed too & was just as good.”

Appreciating the then 20-year-old Guha, Tendulkar wrote, “I was looking for some practice and I got to face some good quality bowling courtesy you.”

Ironically, Guhar’s memory was also memorable for Sachin as then he was recovering from a tennis elbow injury, which he endured in 2004. The injury ruled him out of action for almost 3 months and resurfaced when he made a comeback during the Test series against Australia in 2005.

Eventually, Tendulkar decided to do a surgery in London and made a stunning comeback against Sri Lanka in October.

Recalling about the same, Sachin wrote: “I realized after my surgery I wasn’t able to pick up a cricket bat, I was really depressed. I would call my friends at 2 a.m., 4 a.m. in the morning saying c’mon let’s go for a drive I can’t sleep. Of course, at home, Anjali was there who’d be constantly be telling me you know the good things that have happened in my life to focus on those things.”
