Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a blazing batting display against Delhi Capitals in Match 31 of IPL 2026 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, with Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head setting the tone early. The left-handed duo got SRH off to a flying start, adding 67 runs in the powerplay with aggressive strokeplay that immediately put Delhi on the back foot.

After Head’s dismissal, captain Ishan Kishan walked in and continued the momentum with his trademark attacking approach. The turning point came in the 11th over when Abhishek and Kishan took apart Kuldeep Yadav in a brutal assault that yielded 22 runs.

Ishan Kishan initiated the charge with a towering six over long-on, followed by a well-controlled sweep for four. His intent was clear—keep the pressure firmly on the bowlers.

Abhishek, already cruising after a rapid half-century, joined the onslaught in style. Using his footwork brilliantly, he stepped down the track to launch a massive six over long-off, showcasing complete dominance. The over ended with another boundary from Kishan, capping off a momentum-shifting passage of play for SRH.

 

At the end of 12 overs, Sunrisers Hyderabad were firmly in control at 137/1. Abhishek was leading the charge with a commanding 75 off 37 balls, including five fours and six sixes, while Kishan provided solid support with 22 off just 10 deliveries.
