The first match of the three-match ODI series between India and the West Indies is scheduled to be played on February 6 (Sunday). Before the match, there has been a stir in Team India after getting cases of players testing positive for Covid-19. Two openers Shikhar Dhawan and Rituraj Gaikwad have turned out to be positive for the virus. According to media reports, Ishan Kishan has also been included after Mayank Agarwal as a backup for the series by the BCCI.
KL Rahul has been selected for the ODI series, but he will be missing the first ODI. In such a situation, who will open with Rohit is the biggest question. In the absence of Dhawan and Gaikwad, now Mayank or Ishan Kishan can open. On Thursday (February 3), the Indian team practiced for the first time in Ahmedabad for the series.
