India wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan produced one of the most entertaining moments of the Zimbabwe tour after the second T20I in Harare, delighting fans both with his batting heroics and his sense of humour. Following India’s emphatic 90-run victory over Zimbabwe on Saturday, July 25, Kishan was seen signing a fan’s bald head after being requested for a unique autograph. The heartwarming interaction quickly became one of the biggest talking points on social media, with the video going viral within hours.

The amusing incident unfolded after India’s dominant all-round performance helped them secure an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match T20I series. Batting first, the visitors piled up an imposing 219/5, thanks to a sensational innings from Kishan, before bundling Zimbabwe out for 129. The left-handed batter was deservedly named the Player of the Match for his match-winning knock of 81 runs off just 44 deliveries, which laid the foundation for India’s commanding victory.
After the presentation ceremony, Kishan spent several minutes interacting with supporters near the boundary ropes. He happily signed jerseys, cricket bats and other memorabilia before one enthusiastic fan came up with an unusual request. The supporter leaned forward and asked the Indian star to autograph his bald head.

Caught completely by surprise, Ishan Kishan burst into laughter before picking up a permanent marker and fulfilling the fan’s wish. Teammates, officials and spectators also enjoyed the light-hearted moment, making it one of the most memorable fan interactions of the series.
Speaking after receiving the Player of the Match award, Kishan revealed that he focused on keeping his approach simple despite the early loss of India’s opening batters. His composed yet aggressive innings helped India recover brilliantly and seize complete control of the contest.

Apart from entertaining fans, Kishan also scripted history with the bat. His innings of 81 took his tally to 783 T20I runs in the 2026 calendar year, helping him surpass Virat Kohli’s previous Indian record of 781 runs, which was set in 2022. The milestone further underlines Kishan’s remarkable consistency in the shortest format this year.
Among Indian batters, Kishan now occupies third place for the most T20I runs in a calendar year. Suryakumar Yadav continues to hold the record with 1,164 runs in 2022, while Abhishek Sharma sits second with 859 runs in 2025. Kishan also registered his sixth T20I half-century of 2026, reinforcing his status as one of India’s most dependable white-ball performers.

The Indian team management has also introduced a new dressing-room honour during the Zimbabwe tour—the ‘Best Attitude of the Match’ award. Introduced by head coach VVS Laxman, the initiative recognises players who display exemplary commitment, energy and team spirit both on and off the field. Following his outstanding batting performance and infectious enthusiasm throughout the contest, Kishan became the latest recipient of the award. Vice-captain Tilak Varma had claimed the inaugural honour after India’s victory in the first T20I.
Tilak once again played a crucial role in the second match, remaining unbeaten on 60 off 29 balls to provide India with a powerful finish. With the ball, Abhishek Sharma starred by claiming 3/17, while Prince Yadav and Yash Thakur chipped in with two wickets apiece as Zimbabwe were bowled out in 17.5 overs, sealing another comprehensive win for Shreyas Iyer’s side and their maiden T20I series triumph under the new captain.
