Ishan Kishan lit up the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow on June 17 with a brilliant century, reaching the landmark in style with a hat-trick of boundaries at the Ekana Cricket Stadium. The left-hander looked fluent throughout his innings and ensured India stayed firmly in control in the three-match series.

Kishan brought up his hundred in the 33rd over, first driving one to the left of mid-wicket, then pulling a short ball to the fine-leg boundary, before guiding the final ball of the over past backward point. He completed the milestone off just 71 balls, underlining his attacking intent and composure at the crease.
This was Kishan’s second ODI century in just his 29th match in the format. He now has two hundreds and seven half-centuries to his name, with a career-best score of 210 against Bangladesh already on his record.
