Among his brilliance on the field, Ishan Kishan also brought a light-hearted moment off the field. While chatting casually, umpire Anil Choudhary jokingly pointed out Kishan’s tendency to excessively appeal and his changing wicket-keeping approach. To this, Kishan quipped in a light-hearted tone, reminding Choudhary and everyone else about Pakistani wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan, leaving Choudhary and others laughing.

“I feel umpires are becoming wise. If I appeal in every single situation, even though it’s truly out, they will not award it. Therefore, now I only appeal if I’m sure so they accept my decision,” Ishan Kishan elucidated further jokingly, “Warna abhi Rizwan type kuch karunga toh phir aap log ek bhi baar nahi denge.”

Kishan’s entry into SRH, having spent a long time with Mumbai Indians, has already shown the difference. His addition has beefed up a strong batting line-up with the likes of Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Nitish Reddy, and Heinrich Klaasen. Kishan smashed a 47-ball unbeaten century on his debut for the franchise, making 106 off 47 deliveries at a whopping strike rate of 225.53.
