India batter Ishan Kishan entertained the home crowd with a trademark six during the second T20I against the West Indies at the JSCA International Stadium in Ranchi on Friday, October 9. The left-hander showcased his aggressive batting style by using the bowler’s pace to send the ball sailing over the square-leg boundary.

The moment came on the fourth delivery of the 10th over when West Indies pacer Shamar Joseph bowled a length ball on middle stump. Kishan quickly read the delivery, used the pace and whipped it over square leg for a spectacular six. The shot highlighted one of his preferred scoring options and added to India’s attacking start.
After winning the toss, the West Indies elected to bowl first. Kishan came to the crease following the dismissal of opener Abhishek Sharma during the powerplay and immediately looked to put pressure on the visitors’ bowling attack.

Playing in his home state of Jharkhand, Kishan would have been eager to convert his promising start into a half-century. However, he was dismissed for 43 off 22 balls, narrowly missing out on the milestone. His entertaining knock featured six fours and two sixes at a strike rate of 195.45.
Ishan Kishan has enjoyed an outstanding run since returning to the Indian team, particularly in T20I cricket. In 2026, he has scored more than 1,000 runs in the format at an average close to 40 and a strike rate nearing 170, including a century and seven half-centuries.
