India, batting first, struggled to a modest total of 119 in 19 overs. The innings began on a disappointing note for Indian fans, including IShowSpeed, who was seen donning a Team India jersey. Virat Kohli, one of the most anticipated players, was dismissed early, scoring just four runs off three balls.

In the second over, Kohli attempted to reach for a wide delivery from Naseem Shah but failed to clear the cover region, resulting in a simple catch by Usman Khan. This early setback visibly disheartened IShowSpeed, as captured in a video shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), where he appeared heartbroken by Kohli’s dismissal.

IShowSpeed’s admiration for Virat Kohli is well-documented. He had previously travelled to India to express his support and admiration for Kohli and his teammates during the ODI World Cup 2023.

During his visit, Speed engaged in cricket with locals, further showcasing his passion for the sport. In a now-viral video, he can be seen wearing an India jersey with ‘Virat’ emblazoned on the back, paired with a traditional lungi, reflecting his unique blend of fandom and cultural appreciation.

Earlier, IShowSpeed had made headlines with a bold comment on Babar Azam’s Instagram post, declaring Virat Kohli as the Greatest of All Time (GOAT). After Babar posted a photo of himself in a suit, Speed reacted by commenting, “Virat obolo tos the GOAT,” which roughly translates to “Virat Kohli is the GOAT.”

Despite the early dismissals, including that of Virat Kohli, the Indian team, led by Rohit Sharma, managed to clinch a narrow victory. Chasing a target of 120, Pakistan, under the leadership of Babar Azam, fell short, finishing at 113 for seven in their 20 overs. Jasprit Bumrah’s exceptional performance, with figures of 3/14 in four overs, earned him the Player of the Match award, cementing India’s victory and leaving fans, including IShowSpeed, in high spirits despite the initial setbacks.
