Team India star Kuldeep Yadav commented on the Decision Review System (DRS) dilemma amid the ongoing ODI series against the West Indies. The two teams are playing three one-dayers, the first of which India won by eight wickets as well.
In the first game, Kuldeep Yadav claimed the massive scalp of Justin Greaves. On the third ball of the 36th over, he appealed for an LBW, which was initially turned down, but he appeared confident and even convinced Shubman Gill to go for the review as well. The ball tracking, however, showed three reds and the decision was overturned in India’s favour.

Talking about the DRS dilemma after the game, Kuldeep said, (via bcci.tv): “Review is something which I am very bad at. It is slightly difficult to convince the captain. It is very easy to convince Virat bhai. I can actually convince Shubman also, I do sometimes. But Rohit bhai is difficult to convince, and it has always been like that. I thought it was pitching on line and the ball was hitting. But I was a bit unsure about the height. Luckily it was in our favor and it was an important wicket. Justin was batting very well.”

While Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill scored centuries and made sure India got over the line with ease, it was Kuldeep Yadav who set the game up earlier with figures of 4/40 from ten overs as well.

“If I talk about my bowling, I think I am pretty happy with my spell. I tried to bowl a bit slower through the air and just tried to mix the variations. They started really well. But a couple of wickets and you are back in the game. We got 3-4 wickets in a bunch so we were actually back in the game,” he said.
