Veteran India all-rounder and Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya has revealed that he told his brother Krunal Pandya ahead of IPL 2022 that Ashish Nehra is the best person who can get the best out of him as well. Nehra, who is the head coach of Gujarat Titans, has helped his side to reach IPL 2022 final under the new captain Hardik Pandya. They had won 10 games in the league stage and lost only four to finish at the top of the points table as well, and then, they registered a hard-fought victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Qualifier 1 to cement their place in the summit clash, which will take place at Narendra Modi Stadium – their home ground on Sunday as well. Ahead of this all-important final, Hardik Pandya, the Titans skipper, lauded their franchise’s head coach Ashish Nehra. He also said he told his brother Kurnal that Nehra would get the best out of him as well.

“I and my brother (Krunal) were having a chat before we signed anything. I said, someone who can understand me and know me as a person and kind of get the best out of me would be Ashish Nehra. So for me, playing and spending so much time with him is always fun and I’ve always enjoyed his company no matter what,” Hardik Pandya was quoted as saying by IANS.

“Our cricketing minds work in a similar fashion. He is someone who spends so much time looking after people (and) that is fantastic quality. He makes sure he gives ample time to every individual. Ashu Pa (Nehra) and a lot of credit goes to the support staff to make sure that the outside environment is pretty chilled out and all that,” Hardik Pandya concluded.
