Rookie Indian batsman, Shreyas Iyer, who made his T20I debut against New Zealand in the first T20I of the ongoing series, came out to bat for the first time in international cricket tonight.

Iyer came in to bat in the second over after Shikhar Dhawan (1) was clean bowled by Trent Boult. The first ball he faced from Boult was hit for a four through the point region.

In the next over against Colin de Grandhomme, Iyer scored a couple of boundaries through the same point region. Before he was caught and bowled by Colin Munro in the ninth over, he scored 23 (21) with the help of four fours. Watch the video:
