In the Indian Premier League (IPL) match on Saturday, the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) was locking horns with each to keep their playoff hopes alive in the IPL at the Dubai Cricket Stadium. In this match, Hyderabad captain David Warner won the toss and decided to bowl first. However, Punjab scored 126 runs at the loss of seven wickets in the scheduled overs. During the chase, Hyderabad’s innings started off on a high.
For KXIP, Nicholas Pooran scored 32 runs, while, for SRH, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sharma, and Khalil Ahmed took two wickets each. Kings XI has undergone two changes for this match with Mandeep Singh and Chris Jordan replacing Mayank Agarwal and Jimmy Neesham. On the other hand, David Warner has also made a change to Khalil Ahmed replacing Shahbaz Nadeem.

Despite starting off well, SRH lost the momentum in the middle as they were down to 67/3 in the 9th over and the equation came down to them needing 27 runs in the last four over, and then, they lost Manish Pandey owing to a brilliant catch by J Suchith off the bowling of Chris Jordan.

Both the teams are in the same position and both have also played matches equally. After playing 10 matches so far, Punjab and Hyderabad have the same 10 points in the point table, but Hyderabad is above Punjab in terms of runs. To ensure a place in the playoffs, these two teams will have to win the rest of their matches.

A total of 15 matches have been played between SRH and KXIP so far and the former is leading the head-t0-head record with an 11-4 margin. In their earlier clash of the season, where Hyderabad defeated Punjab by 69 runs.
