Under the captaincy of, Ben Stokes, England team is locking horns with Kane Williamson-led New Zealand in the first match of the three-match Test series at Lord’s.ย The marquee fast bowling pair of James Anderson and Stuart Broad is marking its return to the English test team. Both of them were dropped from the recently concluded away Test series against West Indies.
James Anderson announced his comeback with a fiery and unplayable opening spell. He looked as lethal as ever and made sure to get the team to a flyer as the pitch was assisting the seam bowlers. The Blackcaps batters were left perplexed throughout the opening spell of Anderson. Anderson bowled five maiden overs in his first six overs.

The 40-year-old seamer conceded just 4 runs and managed to scalp a couple of huge wickets in the tight spell. The right-arm fast bowler was spot-on with almost every delivery from the go.ย The veteran pacer ended up taking 4-wickets in the first innings. He missed out on a well-deserved five-wicket haul by just one wicket. However, the fiery spell from James Anderson helped England on the driving seat as the Blackcaps bundled out on the score of 132.
