Having spanned an incredible 22 years and 188 Tests, James Anderson finished his career with a staggering 704 wickets, placing him third on the all-time list behind Muttiah Muralitharan and Shane Warne. This remarkable achievement came alongside a record-breaking 40,000-plus deliveries bowled in Test matches, solidifying his place as one of the most prolific pacers in history.

At the post-match presentation, MCC President Mark Nicholas, amidst roaring applause from teammates and the crowd, bestowed the coveted lifetime membership on James Anderson. This signifies not just his on-field dominance but also his immense contribution to the sport.
