Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are gearing up for their final league encounter of IPL 2025 against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), and all eyes are on the fitness of their explosive opener, Travis Head. The Australian southpaw, who missed the previous match due to a COVID-related absence, has been a key figure in SRH’s batting line-up this season.

Ahead of the crucial game, SRH bowling coach James Franklin provided a much-needed boost by confirming that Head has recovered and is available for selection. “As far as I’m aware, he’s gone through all the necessary COVID protocols. So yes, he’s fit and ready for selection for tomorrow’s game,” Franklin stated during the pre-match press conference, offering relief to the franchise and its fans.

This will be the first meeting between SRH and RCB in this season’s IPL, though the two sides share a fiery history of high-scoring thrillers. In the earlier encounter this year, Hyderabad posted a record-breaking 287/3 – the highest team total in IPL history – thanks largely to a sensational century from Travis Head, who was later named Player of the Match. While RCB gave it a spirited chase, they ultimately fell short by 25 runs.

RCB, however, bounced back in the reverse fixture by posting 206/7 and then stifling the SRH chase, restricting them to 171/8 to secure a 35-run victory. Rajat Patidar stole the show with a blistering 50 off just 20 deliveries, while Karn Sharma stood out with an impressive spell of 2/29 in four overs.
