Former Australia pacer, Jason Gillespie, expressed his belief that India’s team is feeling the absence of their premier fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, who has been out of action for around 10 months due to a back injury. Bumrah’s absence has been particularly evident in the aftermath of India’s loss in the World Test Championship (WTC) final.

Having missed significant tournaments like the Asia Cup 2022, T20 World Cup 2022, Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023, and the WTC final, Bumrah’s presence has been sorely missed by the Indian team. Currently, the ace pacer is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) after undergoing back surgery. Though he has started bowling in the nets, he is yet to attain full fitness.
