Jasprit Bumrah once again proved why he’s the spearhead of Mumbai Indians’ bowling attack, delivering a sensational spell against Delhi Capitals in Match 63 of IPL 2025. Under overcast skies at Wankhede on May 21, Bumrah rattled Delhi with figures of 3 for 12 in just 3.2 overs, setting the tone for a commanding 59-run win and sealing MI’s place in the playoffs.

Bumrah began his demolition act by trapping Tristan Stubbs LBW on just the second ball of the 10th over, breaking a budding DC partnership in a 181-run chase. His next strike came in the 16th over, when he clean bowled debutant Madhav Tiwari, who struggled to three runs off four balls. Bumrah capped off the night by knocking over Mustafizur Rahman for a golden duck, bringing Delhi’s innings to a crashing halt.

These clinical strikes not only secured victory for MI but also propelled Bumrah to a personal milestone—he now has 30 wickets in 23 matches against Delhi Capitals, the most by any bowler against the franchise. Trailing him in joint second with 27 wickets each are spin maestros Ravichandran Ashwin, Sunil Narine, and Piyush Chawla.
