Jasprit Bumrah is set to spearhead India’s bowling attack in the upcoming five-match T20I series against New Zealand, beginning on January 21 at the VCA Stadium in Nagpur. In a video shared on social media, the Indian fast bowler was seen resuming light training drills with his infant son, Angad, by his side. What followed was a series of wholesome moments that quickly won over fans. Bumrah paused his structured warm-up session to play with his son, turning a routine net session into a memorable father-son bonding experience.

In the clip, Jasprit Bumrah is heard gently encouraging Angad to watch him bowl. “Now see how Dadda is doing it, okay. Look here,” Bumrah says as he prepares for his run-up. Charging in at close to full pace, Bumrah delivered a sharp ball that thudded into the net behind the stumps, prompting an excited reaction from Angad, who adorably exclaimed, “Oh my god!”

A trainer accompanied Bumrah during the session and helped look after Angad, who soon picked up a cricket ball himself. Encouraged to throw it, the little one attempted to mimic his father’s actions, drawing laughter and smiles all around. Bumrah, amused and proud, chimed in with, “Woh udhar jaake karega,” suggesting where Angad should aim.

As Bumrah returned to his mark for another delivery, Angad could be heard repeatedly shouting, “Stumps fall down! Stumps fall down!” — a moment that perfectly captured the innocence and joy of the scene. After completing his spell, Bumrah handed the ball to his son and asked, “You wanna do it again?” Angad happily obliged, throwing the ball towards the stumps.

Bumrah has been enjoying quality time with family since the conclusion of India’s T20I series against South Africa in December. Given an extended break to stay fresh and injury-free ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, the premier pacer is expected to play a vital role for the Suryakumar Yadav-led Indian side as they gear up for the global event starting February 7.
