Jasprit Bumrah’s eagerly-awaited comeback to international cricket has been a hot topic of discussion in the Indian cricketing circles. The talented fast bowler has been sidelined since September last year, missing out on crucial events like the T20 World Cup, IPL, and India’s Test series against Australia. However, recent reports from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have indicated that Bumrah is on the path to recovery and bowling at full tilt in the nets at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bengaluru.
A recent video has surfaced showing Bumrah in action during an intra-squad practice match at the Alur cricket ground near Bengaluru. The clip captured the ace pacer bowling to young Mumbai batters, marking what could be his first bowling appearance in any match situation since his injury.

Jasprit Bumrah reportedly bowled 10 overs in two spells and even took a wicket, dismissing Mumbai opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi. Prasidh Krishna, another promising India pacer returning from injury, also featured in a practice game for Mumbai on Saturday. Both bowlers are in the final stages of their rehabilitation and are showing great intensity in the nets.

While fans are excited about Bumrah’s imminent return, some have expressed concerns about rushing him back into action. Last year, he was brought back for a T20I series against Australia after the Asia Cup but had to withdraw midway due to his ongoing back issues. This time, fans are urging the authorities to ensure Bumrah is fully fit before making his comeback.
Some random kids played every ball of bumrah with ease and he is supposed to be our best bowler in world cup 🍵

Reduced to almost nil extension of the non bowling arm. Leading to smaller jumps. Inconsistent control over line and lengths
Will render him HALF effective as his previous years. (Probably bumrah pre 15)

The BCCI Medical Team has been closely monitoring Bumrah and Prasidh’s progress. They are expected to play some practice matches organized by the NCA to assess their fitness levels thoroughly. A final decision regarding their return will be made based on their performances in these practice games.

The BCCI’s statement also provided an update on Rishabh Pant’s rehabilitation. The explosive wicketkeeper-batsman, who suffered a car crash in December, has been making significant progress. Pant has commenced batting and keeping in the nets and is following a comprehensive fitness program to enhance his strength, flexibility, and running abilities. The Indian cricket fraternity eagerly awaits the return of these star players, but ensuring their complete fitness remains the top priority for the team management and medical staff
