The premier Indain pacer, Jasprit Bumrah was at his ferocious best during the opening day of the first Test of the ongoing 5-match series against England in Nottingham. He scalped as many as four wickets and it was more than enough to clean up England in the first innings. As a result, England was bundled out for a meager score of 183 with their skipper Joe Root top-scored with 64 including 11 fours. The hosts registered their third-lowest Test total against India since 2000.
Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, Shardul Thakur, and Mohammed Siraj bowled really well. Shami took three wickets to his name while Thakur took two wickets. Siraj settled for one wicket. Jonny Bairstow scored 29 runs including 4 fours while Zak Crawley scored 27.

In the end, Sam Curran managed to score some quick runs for the hosts as he played an unbeaten knock of 27 off 37 deliveries. When England lost 9 wickets in 60th over, Sam Curran provided a ray of hope by playing some good shots.
Curran entertained the English spectators by smashing three fours and a six. Meanwhile, his partner James Anderson was trying his best to provide apt support by defending as many deliveries as possible. However, that didn’t work well against India’s premier fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah.

During the fourth ball of the 66th over, Bumrah bowled a fiery toe-crushing yorker to make a complete mess of Anderson’s stumps. Just a ball before he had bowled another yorker and the on-field umpire gave it out as LBW only be overturned by the third umpire. The video clip of Bumrah dismissing Anderson has gone viral on social media.
