The premier Indian fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah, on Wednesday, September 13, shared a video on his official Instagram handle where he can be seen working hard to make a comeback to competitive cricket. The right-arm speedster has been a consistent performer for India across all the formats and recently, also captained the national team against England in the rescheduled fifth Test at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

However, Jasprit Bumrah missed the Asia Cup 2022 due to a back injury. India missed his services badly as they failed to go beyond the Super Four stage after losing to Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The fiery fast bowler is set to make his comeback in the upcoming three-match T20I series against Australia to be played from September 20.

Recently, the Indian team named their squad for the T20 World Cup 2022 scheduled to be played in Australia and Bumrah found his way back into the team. With Arshdeep Singh emerging as a lethal prospect for the Indian team at the death in the shorter format, Bumrah’s inclusion will only strengthen India’s bowling. Apart from the Australian team, Bumrah will also ply his trade in the three-match T20I series against South Africa.

Jasprit Bumrah was India’s standout fast bowler in the T20 World Cup last year, but he didn’t get much support from his teammates. Bumrah, recently, also showed his skills with the bat after he took the attack on Stuart Broad in the Test match at Edgbaston. Bumrah is also the third Indian bowler after Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan to pick up a hat-trick in Test cricket.
