The inaugural season of the Womenβs Premier League (WPL) 2023 has witnessed a fiery start With Mumbai Indians (MI), Delhi Capitals (DC), and UP Warriorz getting off to a winning start in their respective games. However, the same was not the case for their opponents, as they started off their campaigns with a loss.
During the second match of the much-awaited tournament, Indian ace batter and Delhi Capitals star Jemimah Rodrigues was seen putting on a dance show for the crowd at the boundary line. One of the fans recorded Jemimah, and the video quickly went viral across social media.

Fans were seen cheering for Jemimah Rodrigue as she put on quite a show for the fans at the boundary line. Her side also got off to a winning start in the competition as Delhi Capitals registered a comprehensive win over Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Despite having a star-studded squad, RCB succumbed to defeat in their first match of the WPL. The Smriti Mandhana-led side showcased a subpar bowling performance as Delhi Capitals were able to notch up 223 runs on the scoreboard after the first innings and lost only two wickets in the process.
Skipper Meg Lanning and Shafali Verma were sensational for Delhi Capitals, as they scored 72 and 84 runs, respectively. Marizanne Kapp and Jemimah Rodrigues also played unbeaten knocks of 39 and 22 runs, respectively.

The batting line-up of Delhi Capitals completely dominated their opponents. Things did not improve for Royal Challengers Bangalore with the bat either. Skipper Smriti Mandhana helped the side get off to a good start, but she got put after scoring 35 as Alice Capsey dismissed her. Ellyse Perry, Heather Knight, and Megan Schutt attempted to fight back, but it was not enough in the end.
